Due to covid-19, Malaysia's demand for digital transformation and increased the use of automation across a variety of industries ids rarely needed. As consumer behaviour and purchasing habits shift from offline to online, businesses in logistics and supply chain solutions anticipate increasing product volumes and demand for e-fulfillment services as a result of the surge in e-commerce activities. For that reason, demand for courier services in 2020, POS Malaysia Berhad saw a sharp spike in e-commerce parcel volumes during the first Movement Control Order (MCO) last year. From that, POS Malaysia dedicated to modernising its current facilities through the implementation of automation and ICT technologies in order to improve its services and better serve its clients, which has been exacerbated by the unanticipated rise.

Since 2017, POS Malaysia had been planning to add digital components to its current warehousing facilities and build up ntegrated Parcel Centres (IPC) in Shah Alam and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA with sorting systems were installed for more effective operations.

With the biggest delivery and touchpoint network in Malaysia, the POS Malaysia Group was founded as a dynamic postal (mail, retail, courier, and international), logistics, aviation, banking, and supply chain solutions provider at 2016.

By 2016, POS Malaysia also had launched the National ecommerce Strategic Roadmap (NESR) to promote and enhance e-commerce related activities in Malaysia. The establishment of Alibaba Co.'s first Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ) outside of China at Kuala Lumpur Air Cargo Terminal 1 was made possible by the introduction of NESR (KACT1). Malaysia is now a potential regional e-fulfillment powerhouse after KACT1 put the nation on the radar of major international e-commerce businesses. POS Malaysia Berhad was chosen as the primary fulfilment service provider to run KACT1 and complete e-commerce-related packages for both incoming and outbound shipping. The firm has experience with supply chain solutions.

Establishing regional fulfilment operations in Malaysia to support global supply chain activities is encouraged for both indigenous and foreign businesses. Due to Malaysia's advantageous geographic position and rising usage of technology, supply chain procedures are fluid and effective.
